Trapster

Trapster is a free app that alerts you as you approach police speed traps, red light cameras, speed cameras, and other roadway wallet hazards. It gives a spoken warning as you approach, such as “live police” or “red light camera”. Also, see the Google Live Traffic, turn by turn directions, local search, full iPod control, and My Trips trip recorder all from within Trapster!

Features:
- World’s most complete and up to date speed trap and camera database with nearly 1 million traps reported.
- Alerts for speed traps, red light cameras, speed cameras, mobile speed vans, checkpoints, and more. Temporary traps such as motorcycle police with laser expire automatically.
- Virtual Radar dynamic alert area narrows and elongates based on your speed and direction of travel.
- As you approach a reported trap a spoken voice alert will play, and on-screen icons will animate, according to the type of trap (for example “Live Police!”). Alerts can be in English, French, German, Spanish, plus a lot of fun sound themes.
- Report traps that you see by simply tapping the screen.
- Rate traps submitted by other users (agree/disagree).
- The system learns the credibility of users over time based on how many other users agree with the traps they report.
- Push notifications (optional) can alert you even when the app is not running.
